The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Monday said he will not waste time to assent to the death warrant of the killer of five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar, Abdulmalik Tanko. Naija News had earlier reported that the proprietor of Noble Kids Academy confessed to the killing of Hanifa, a pupil he abducted in December.
Ganduje in his statement noted that he would abide by the constitutional provision to assent to the death sentence of Tanko, in the event that it is passed by the court.
